ContiOcean Environment Tech Signed the Biggest Order of the Year

     On June 26, 2019, ContiOcean Environment Tech Co., Ltd. (ContiOcean) held a cooperation signing ceremony for EGCS with Formosa Plastics Marine Corporation (FPMC) and SIMOSA SHIPPING respectively in the head-office of Formosa Plastics Marine Corporation, and signed an order for 21 ships, in which there are 19 ships from Formosa Plastics Marine Corporation and 2 ships from SIMOSA SHIPPING and the ship types involved are VLCC, Cape size, LR2 and PANAMAX. The delivery period for 21 projects lasts from the 3rd quarter of 2019 to the 3rd quarter of 2020. Mr.Zhao Mingzhu, Managing Director of ContiOcean Environment Tech, Mr.Lai Jinchi, Assistant V.P. of Formosa Plastics Marine Corporation, and Mr.Wei Daoming, V.P. of SIMOSA SHIPPING have signed the contracts on behalf of their respective party. Also present at the signing ceremony were Mr.Zhou Ruilian, and Mr.Yang Hongyu from FPMC, Mr.Zhang Shibang SIMOSA SHIPPING, Mr.Li Hulin, DGM of Vessel Plus Marine Tech & Service Limited, and Mr.Chen Zhiyuan, Technical Director of ContiOcean.

   Founded in 1980, FPMC is a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics Group and headquartered in Taipei. As of 2019, FPMC has 52 ships of different types, including 3 chemical tankers, 11 product tankers, 7 oil tankers, 8 VLCC, 20 bulk carriers, 2 LNG carriers and 1 container ship. The total deadweight tonnage has reached 6.33 million tons.

  Founded in 2007, SIMOSA SHIPPING is a subsidiary of SIMOSA Enterprise Group and its fleet has been mainly engaged in the operation of refined oil and asphalt transportation on global routes.

  Founded in 2017, ContiOcean Environment Tech Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Shanghai and has its overseas branches in Singapore and Hong Kong. It is an environmentally-friendly high-tech enterprise specializing in the research & development, production and sales of marine environmental protection equipment. COUS/COIS/COBOS EGCS independently researched and developed by ContiOcean has been awarded the AIP certificates of major Classification Societies in the world, including NKK, DNV-GL, Lloyd's Register, ABS, BV and CCS.   Before ContiOcean signs the contract with FPMC and SIMOSA SHIPPING, ContiOcean has successfully installed and delivered more than 20 sets of EGCS for its customers. ContiOcean has been recognized and appraised by its customers due to the system’s stable operation and good condition. The ship types involved in the delivered orders include the main types of ships including tankers, bulk carrier and container ship and have all obtained IAPP certificates.

  This time, ContiOcean has stood out among many desulfurization system EGCS makers in the world and successfully signed the contract with FPMC and SIMOSA SHIPPING respectively, which are also achieved after ContiOcean has gone through a series of professional and complex procedures including program selection, expert review, field study, technical bid evaluation and business bid evaluation. They have fully demonstrated the strong strength of ContiOcean in desulfurization technology, manufacturing process, system operation, after-sales service and corporate management, thus certifying the position of ContiOcean in the international ship desulfurization industry.
